It is also the sole non-military factory ammunition that shoots less than 4 MOA when fired with my Savage 303 Enfield No4 Mark I. I’m getting 1.5 MOA using this ammunition, using the standard iron sights on this rifle. I am sceptical about the diameter of the bullet of all others “303” non military ammo that is available.

I have used this ammo for many years. It is very accurat and has taken dozens of deer. Best value on the market.

It’s a great box. Federal blue box is working perfectly within my Savage No4 Mk1. I shot a mule deer in the vicinity of Maybelle CO with the Federal 150gr. One shot went right through the animal, and it fell instantly. It is a very accurate weapon which allows you to strike the vitals in confidence. I also discovered that the 150gr shoots an incline that is flatter than the 180gr, and it appears to shoot slightly higher in the same way that ball ammunition. I would definitely recommend 150gr for shots shorter that 200 yards (the distance used for big game hunting is 90 90% of the time).)

EXCELLENT AMMO… I would highly recommend this ammunition to any person… However, as a veteran of the military and having countless hunts and military experiences there is a trick that should be performed prior to loading the ammo…Take the fine-grit emery cloth, and spin the bullet’s head into a taper-like position to smooth any scratches or dabs… Because the head is a soft-nosed nose, there are a few minor nicks or scratches on the tip of the bullet… It’s a common Military technique… The bullet will be more precisely and steady during flight. I’ve noticed that when shooting for target I’m able to hold a pattern of the size of a quarter for 100plus miles… But, I’ve also made a few tweaks to my bolt and barrel too… I think the 303 Enfield is one hell of an Sniper firearm… It’s way under estimates… I’ll shoot my 303 with the 30-06 or 308 every day…

EXCELLENT AMMO… I would highly recommend this ammo to any person… However, as a Military Veteran with hundreds of hunts and military experiences There’s one trick that must be completed prior to loading the ammo…Take an emery cloth or fine grit emerycloth and turn the bullet head into a taper-like position to smooth any scratches or Dings… Because the bullet head is an extremely soft nose it is possible to find tiny nicks and dings around the tip of the bullet… This is a classic Military technique… The bullet will be more precisely and steady when it is in flight. I’ve observed that when shooting for target I’m able to hold a pattern of the size of a quarter at 100yards or more… However, I’ve added a few more tricks to my bolt and barrel too… I think the 303 Enfield is one hell of an Sniper firearm… Much less than the estimated… I’ll shoot my 303 with the 308 or a 30-06 anytime…

This is the ammo my gun loves the most. I scored 1-1/4″ groupings at 100 yards while sighting in my new scope. I’m sure the groupings would be tighter if I took more time between shots. The reason I gave this 4 stars vs. 5 is the fragmentation. I took on white tail buck at 150 yards, and three pigs at about 100 yards this weekend. One shot and drop. However the bullet fragmented and I was finding little bits of lead all over the inside exit side for about 11″. This resulted in additional blood-shot areas that need to be sucked out in addition to wasted carcass. It’s hard to argue with the 2 1/2 inch exit hole. With the exception of fragmentation, this is a fantastic round. I highly recommend it. Make sure to look for any broken pieces while you clean.
