I bought a bunch of this ammo in 2006 or so. It was pretty fun in my M1A with iron sights, but once I got scoped up I’m usually only able to hold 4″ groups. With Remington Core Lockt I can hold an inch or less with the same setup.

I am left with a battered Savage rifle after I traded chainsaws for it. Then I thought that maybe I’ll build something new and interesting. The 30-06 barrel was swapped out for a 35 Whelen and added an Boyds classic stock. Then I put the action in place and then bedded as well as floated the barrel..I purchased this ammo because it was inexpensive to break into the barrel. After getting it to work it, the ammo printed 1.25″ groups @ 100 yards off a quality rest. I knew it was a little too much for whitetail but kept the shots behind the shoulder and two nice whitetail fell in their tracks.. One at 20 yards and another at 150 yards..Massive internal damage and 1.25″ exit wounds..Ribs broke 3″ each on the side of the entry and the exit wounds. The lungs and the hearts were mush..A tiny amount of excess damage to the meat of the ribs however I do not eat the ribs anyway..They can cause a deer to fall like being hit by a dumper, perhaps better suited to big game or bear. However, if you’re okay with the loss of ribs, these are extremely efficient.

I bought this ammo in order to shoot with the Remington 700 tactical rifle. I checked to ensure there isn’t any steel inside the bullet by using an iron. The bullet was not able to adhere to the magnet, most ranges do not allow steel-core bullets. I shot this ammunition out to 600 yards, and I were able to hit the targets repeatedly. With the cost and the performance, this ammo is a must purchase.

Excellent practice ammo, my Winchester model 88 loves it and my FNAR shoots it without issue. Had no problems with feeding, extraction or cycling. I liked it so much I bought another case.

A laser that can be seen at 250 yards, solid practice for 500 yards. Reliable to the 750 yard mark, but it is a mess at 1000. It’s not match ammo but at this cost, it’s not the gun or ammo, but the shooter’s ability to read. This is recommended for 500 yard shooting with no reservations. Purchase it and you will be satisfied. Chrono is a part of remington 700 sps, aac 20″ at 2800fps. The observed BC has a value of 0.440 G1 at 1000 yards.

If it is the same lot that I bought previously it comes with an iron jacket that is encased in metallic gilding. It is not allowed to be shot within the Forest Service National Forest in Southern California and many ranges within SoCal won’t allow you to shoot steel jacket ammunition on their ranges. Make sure to contact Midway before placing an order to determine the jacket’s composition. Apart from that it’s good basic military ammo that comes in 20-round boxes. It’s clean and fires well. I learned something from this ammo. I thought that all our steel jacketed ammunition was marked with an black tip. Thisobviously doesn’t come with an black cap.

Excellent range of ammo. It is clean and loaded well without any issues. A little dust remnants. I shot .460 @ 100 yards with an 308. DPMS Panther. It spread slightly at 200. Excellent choice of “out of the box” ammo.REAT RANGE AMMO…CLEAN, LOADS Well, and without problems or MILD POWDER RESISIDUE.
