Have only used this product for target practice. I am taking it hunting in the future. So far very happy with what I see.

Although my .243 shoots slightly better groups with another brand of ammo, you can’t beat the Winchester Ballistic Silvertip for hog hunting….it has great penetration and holds together well.

It’s accurate. Not as accurate as the Nosler but it will get the job done on Whitetail deer.

I killed a 130lb bucks in just one shot. The bullet struck right at the shoulder’s point and directly over the chest. It ran 50yds. There was no passage through, which could be good or not. It was difficult to find, but it didn’t go through, but it certainly killed this deer! Massive internal damage! Shooting 1 1/4 moa @ 100yds. Excellent deer round!

I was unsure of how to rate these loads. In terms of accuracy, they’re the most precise factory loaded .243 ammo I’ve shot. They shoot extremely smooth thanks to the brass that has been coated and do not leave a lot of fouling in the barrel. If accuracy was the only primary factor in determining their performance, I would not give them a higher rating. They’re so precise. On the other hand I’ve shot 10 deer using these loads, and also the 95gr. Ballistic Tip can explode on deer. It is important not to hit the shoulder in front or the bullet could explode into tiny fragments. Rib shots transform the insides of the deer into a blood-and-guts smoothie. To me, it’s a shame that I could say that the Ballistic Tip was tougher like the Scirocco produced by Swift. I’m not saying that I do like Nosler Bullets, but I’ve discovered it to be the Partition is a superior deer/antelope black bear load, or even an elk load. It’s all in what you would like a bullet to do after it comes into contact with. The Ballistic Tips can kill deer as dead as an hammer, but they create an enormous mess in the process.

This was the first time that I used the Ammo as I was amazed by how well it performed. Two doves, one directly in front of the shoulder, stopped her off her feet The second was taken as she walked away from me just at the point at which her head joined her neck. One bobcat was hunting an fawn born late in the season, as well as an osprey that was chasing one of the turkeys in the group that I belong to and, lastly, was a hog running through the trails towards my blind. Overall I am very pleased with the ammunition that goes with the Savage Model 110 .243 win

I have fired two boxes of these with the Marlin XS7 and get 1/2 MOA at 100 yards consistently. I’m still having difficulty finding a reload as accurate and consistent as these. Another thing I appreciate is that these cartridges sit snugly in my rifle, and allow the bullet to rest on the land. The factory ammunition has not been able to come close so far.
